Call for Presentation and Workshops Proposals

OSGeo.JP hosts the annual FOSS4G local conference.

OSGeo.JP are pleased to announce that “The FOSS4G 2025 KANSAI” Conference will be held this year, marking its return after a six-year hiatus.

The event aims to be a platform for exchanging knowledge and insights and sharing new ideas on geospatial information technology.
We welcome a diverse range of participants—from researchers and private companies to independent developers, community groups and NPO/NGO—who are active across various fields, not limited to the traditional domain of geoinformatics.

This year’s theme is “Deep FOSS4G”.

The themes include deep learning and machine learning, as well as generative AI, which has been driving change in our society in recent years.

We warmly welcome participation from anyone interested in this field, wherever they may be.

Technical Session

Each year, Technical Session features guest speakers from overseas as well as power users and developers of FOSS4G, who share their insights through talks and case studies.

This year, we are once again preparing a rich lineup of distinguished speakers who will present the latest topics and real-world examples. We warmly invite you to attend and engage with the discussions.

Oral presentations will be available online, making it possible for participants who are unable to attend in person, including those from remote locations, to take part.

We are currently accepting submissions for poster presentations.
The poster session includes the annual “BJ.Jang Award”, and all on-site attendees will serve as judges.
If you have something you wish to share with fellow participants through a poster, we strongly encourage you to join.

Please prepare your posters in A0 size.
Note: Poster presenters are kindly requested to attend the event in person.

We look forward to your enthusiastic submissions.
